Reviving the lost blogs
Yes, I decided to BLOG. Still trying to figure out what that actually means..
I share interesting things on Facebook everyday.. At least I think I do. 🤔
Looking back on my past blogs here, I wonder if I am really that interesting of person for people to follow.
Am I rich, no.
Am I famous, no.
Am I funny, I like to think so.
What can I contribute to the blogging community?
Guess I'll have to figure that one out. I am opened to suggestions.
I'm just an almost middle-aged woman trying to make in life. Adulting isn't one of my strong suits.
Don't expect political or religious posts from me. I avoid those as much as possible. I respect everyone's views, opinions, and beliefs. Peoples are peoples! Everyone is different and amazing in their own way. It's what makes the world so beautiful!
Anyways!
Yeah so, welcome to my blog, feel free to read and comment the old stuff (over 4 years old!).
Look forward to the new stuff!
Have a great week! Happy Monday! 🎉😎

Holy Cauliflower Batman!!
So, I look up recipes for mashed cauliflower and I find this one --> Mock Garlic Mashed Potatoes <-- and it is DELICIOUS!! I cooked some meat and brown gravy to go with them and I'm telling you. From someone who has never had cauliflower in her life and a potato lover, I would have never guessed that it wasn't potatoes.

The Everywhere Man
Mr. Mark A. Sheppard is an amazing actor. He has such a large resume, I don't even think IMDb can keep up with him. Just when you think you've seen him in everything, he pops up somewhere else.
My sister had the chance to meet him at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo in 2013. She absolutely just fell in love with him. His accent, his charming demeanor, he just makes us geek girls swoon.
After seeing him for the first time on Supernatural, I quickly learned he was a sci-fi/drama acting icon already, having been on The X-Files, Firefly, Charmed, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: Voyager, Doctor Who and Warehouse 13, to name a few.

Supernatural Thoughts: Selfish vs. Douche bag
One of the hottest topics right now with Supernatural is the heated angst between the brothers, Sam & Dean. Was Dean selfish in his choice to save his brother? Was Sam a douchebag for saying he wouldn't do the same for Dean in the same situation?
Question #1: I believe it is true, Dean was selfish. He didn't want to be alone. He had one job to do and that was to protect Sammy. Wake up Dean, Sam is a big boy now (literally). He really doesn't need his big brother watching out for him anymore. I am big sister myself. I used to be all about protecting my little brother when we were younger. I felt obligated to be my brother's protector. We are both adults now, responsible for our own lives. He chose a bad road. I pray for him and cry for him, but I know he made his own choices, he isn't my responsibility any more. Granted, had Dean respected Sam's wishes to die, there would be no show, but I do believe Dean saving his brother be for his own security and dependence issues.
Question #2: No, Sam wasn't a douche bag for saying he wouldn't do the same for Dean. Sam has always been a respectful, nice, kind hearted person (except when he possessed or soul-less). So, picture Dean in a similar situation as Sam was, in a hospital, on life support (oh wait, wasn't that the beginning of Season 2? Not too hard to picture, now). Let's say Sam gets a Ouija board out and talks to Dean's spirit and he tells him that its his time go, that he is ready to just die and move on. Do you think Sam would really try to save him? Knowing Sam's outlook on life, what he dreamed about, what he has tried to do in the past. I don't think Sam would try to save Dean after being told he was ready to die. Sam would have respected Dean's wishes, that has a lot to do with being family, respect. My husband has repeatedly told me that he never wants to be put on life support, when its his time he wants to go, don't hold him back. Its hard to let go of someone you love, but you got to do what you feel is the right thing to do and best for the other person. I did notice something in Episode 9.14 -Captives, and this could do a lot to defend Sam's care and concern for Dean, that when Dean called out for Sam at the beginning of the episode, Sam jumped and ran to help Dean, sensing there was something wrong. When he couldn't find Dean for those few moments, he had a sense of panic, worried for his brother. So, Sam isn't against saving/helping Dean if he is in trouble. It's more along the lines of if Dean said he didn't want to be saved, Sam wouldn't try to save him.
We hunger for the sibling love and the rivalry equally. Brothers are going to fight with each other, support each other and care for each other. Its what makes the Winchesters the Winchesters and that's what we love.
Oh the feels!

Writing For All The a Write Reasons
For almost 9 years now I have been an avid role-player. I started off RPing the male characters from Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels, Joe Morelli and Ranger back in 2005. Then in 2008 I started watching Supernatural and shortly after I became a Supernatural RPer, portraying the main characters Dean and Sam Winchester and several original characters of my own creations.
The reasons I write is to tell a story, ignite fantasy and imagination, and to make myself feel good. No matter if it is an action packed fight scene, an emotionally draining scene, or a hot and spicy sex scene, it feels good to tell a story and even better to write it. I write for myself and partner. Whether or not anyone else follows or reads those stories, it doesn't matter to us. We do it for ourselves.
However, I do have a pet peeve in the role-playing community. Some people are impatient when it comes to their partners and expect replies and contact every second of every day. These people seem to forget that their partners have real lives to maintain which are more important than their character lives. I've seen drama ensue over the pettiest of petty reasons. Sometimes you just need to take a breath and consider your partners life situation and feelings. I have apologized and forgiven past partners I have had for walking away or dropping out of stories we had been writing. I have learned from my mistakes and hope to never make those mistakes again.
